As the world rebuilds post-pandemic - and battles with soaring energy costs - the ‘four-day week’ has re-emerged as a hot topic.
Earlier this month thousands of workers in the UK began a trial in which they’d work 80% of their hours at full pay, in a bid to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Whatever your views on the idea, we were interested to see an animated video promoting its benefits.
Narrated by the legendary Stephen Fry and animated by a diverse bunch of brilliant creatives from around the world, the video presents research on the benefits of the four-day week in a beautiful and playful way.
The video has the potential to be incredibly dry and boring - while you’re watching, go ahead and close your eyes and imagine it’s just an audio file. But, as is so often the case, animation cuts through and holds attention incredibly well for a comparatively lengthy 3 mins 43 secs.
It all serves as another compelling reminder: animation holds attention and makes dry topics more interesting!
