The Greatest Storyteller - Video Marketing Examples #102
Obligatory disclaimer: This isn't an ad or sponsored content. We simply wanted to share this analysis with you as a great, recent example of video marketing.
They say a brand is a person's gut feeling about a product, service or company.
And that’s why so much TV advertising goes beyond the bread and butter info about pricing, features and benefits - and instead focuses on feelings and emotions.
The latest TV ad from Amazon’s audiobook behemoth, Audible, is a case in point.
There’s no talk of pricing, subscription levels or membership perks. No mention of being able to choose your own narration speed, set a sleep timer or organise your audiobooks into custom folders.
Instead, this 1 minute masterpiece is all about the feeling of being told a story, and how it helps enrich our lives - through the good, bad and wonderfully mundane moments.
Audible - the product - is depicted in the video as a flamboyant character in a purple suit, accompanying people during their daily activities, giving them comfort and joy at the moments when they need to hear a story - whether they’re out for a run, nervously waiting for an interview, heartbroken after a breakup, passing time at work, or wrapped up in bed.
Feeling inspired?
If you’re wondering what to do with your next video campaign, a good starting point is to grab a piece of paper and scribble down how your customers feel when they’re using your product.
That gut feeling, more than anything else, is your brand. And video is the perfect way to communicate it.
